At least 11 Daesh insurgents were killed in an Afghan security forces operation in eastern Nangarhar province, Public Order Police said in a statement on Sunday.

In addition, four other insurgents were wounded.

The operation was launched early Saturday in Khogyani district of the province to clear the area of insurgents. A “heroin factory was also destroyed,” the statement said.

However, the statement did not provide further details.
