At least 34 Daesh militants have been killed in past 24 hours in Afghan ground and air attacks in Dih Bala district of Nangarhar province, officials said.
 
Provincial governor spokesman  confirmed the Daesh death toll and said that 16 more Daesh militants were wounded and seven others detained during the operation.
 
Most of the Deash militants killed were foreigners. Khogyani added.
 
Meanwhile Nangarhar provincial council said that 17 Afghan national army soldiers were killed on Tuesday night when Daesh militants attacked security force check points in Dih Bala district.
 
While confirming the incident, Nangarhar governor Mohammad Gulab Mangal did not give details on the death toll.
