43 Armed Insurgents Killed In Joint Afghan Operations

At least 43 armed insurgents were killed in the past 24 hours in joint Afghan security force clearance operations in different provinces, the ministry of interior said in a statement.

According to the MoI statement, the operations were conducted in Kunar, Maidan Wardak, Nangarhar, Zabul, Logar and Kunduz provinces.

During the operations 17 Daesh militants were killed and eight other Daesh insurgents were wounded, MoI statement said.

In addition, 26 other insurgents were killed in the operations.

The ministry statement said that weapons caches were also destroyed during the operations.

No more details were provided regarding casualties among military personnel.
