At least 47 insurgents were killed during Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) operations in different parts of the country in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior said on Saturday in a statement.

In addition, 11 other insurgents were injured.

The operations were carried out in Nangarhar, Uruzgan, Logar,  and Paktia provinces to clear the insurgents, according to the statement.

The troops also seized weapons during the operations, it said.

However, the statement did not provide details about casualties among security forces during the operations.
