Afghans Flock To Donate Blood Following Truck Bombing

Residents however condemned terrorism in all its forms and called on government to take steps to prevent further bloodshed in the country.

“We are here to donate blood for the wounded and express our solidarity with them,” said a resident of Kabul, Abdullah.

“By donating our blood we want to convey a message to the armed opponents that by doing such deeds they cannot reach to their targets,” said another Kabul resident, Ali Juma.

Meanwhile another resident said: “According to the Holy Quran, they (insurgents) will go to hell, what objectives are they pursuing by committing such an act?”

“Stop the killing of innocent people, we demand that government ensures the security of the people and prevents the killing of people,” said Kabul resident Yama.

Head of the blood bank, Enayatullah Hashimi said that thanks to the response from the public, there was enough blood for the injured.
