Army Helicopter Crash-Lands In Kunduz

A security source confirmed that an army helicopter crash-landed in Dasht-e-Archi district in Kunduz, but the crew were rescued.

The incident took place in an area which was under the control of the Taliban, the source said.

Those on board were rescued by forces in another helicopter which were both returning from a mission in Takhar province.

The reason behind the emergency landing of the chopper has been given as ‘technical problems’. The helicopter has been damaged, the source added.
