14 Army Soldiers Wounded in Helmand Car Bomb

At least 14 army soldiers were wounded in a car bomb detonated close to 505 Boost Police Zone in Lashkargah city, capital of Helmand on Wednesday, officials confirmed.

The blast happened at about 2:40pm local time while the soldiers were leaving the base to launch a military operation, a spokesman for provincial governor, Omar Zwak said.

However, he did not provide further details about the blast.

Taliban has claimed responsibility of the attack in a social media post.
