At least eight Taliban militants were killed in a foreign forces airstrike in Urozgan province, local officials said Saturday.
Urozgan Police Headquarters said in a statement that the strike was conducted in the Zabzak area in Tarinkot, the capital city of the province.
Three other insurgents were wounded in the strike, the statement said.
According to the statement, Mullah Qasim, a Taliban commander, is among those killed in the airstrike.
Taliban has not commented on the report.
