Foreign Troops Shoot Civilians After Convoy Hits Roadside Mine

Foreign troops opened fire on civilians after a roadside mine blast late Sunday in eastern Nangarhar province, local official confirmed on Monday.

The incident took place in Shergar area in Khoghyani district of the province after a foreign troops convoy hit a roadside mine, a spokesman for the provincial governor, Attaullah Khoghyani said.

“A father and his two sons are victims of the attack but there are no reports about casualties among the foreign troops in the roadside mine,” he said.

Police are investigating the incident, he added.

However, he did not provide further details about the incident.
