At least four Taliban insurgents were killed in central Logar province in separate attacks on Saturday, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
In addition, five other insurgents were wounded.
The first incident took place in Pul-e-Alam city of Logar after a group of insurgents attacked a police check post and clashed with security forces. Three insurgents were killed and four other insurgents were wounded in this incident, according to the statement.
The statement also said that a senior member of the Taliban was killed and one was wounded following an armed attack in Sar Sang area of Bark-e-Barak district of the province.
However, the statement did not provide further details about the attacks and added “no security force members were hurt” in the attacks.
