The Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) has announced that president Ashraf Ghani has ordered the appointment of Atta Mohammad Noor, as the new governor of Balkh province.
“Based on the order of the president, general Atta Mohammad has been appointed as the governor of Balkh province,” reads a press release by the IDLG issued on Monday.
