Ghazni Security Forces Celebrate Nawroz Five Days Later

Ghazni police chief Aminullah Amarkhail said on Saturday that security forces in the province had only just been able to celebrate Nawrooz, five days after new year, as they had worked the entire time to safeguard residents.

“We stopped the enemy from planting 40 mines in Ghazni city and also our security forces defused 12 mines,” Amarkhail said.

Amarkhail said security forces made a huge effort to not let insurgents dampen Nawroz celebrations.

“We promised our people that we would not let the enemy conduct any inhuman activity in the province,” Amarkhail added.

Meanwhile soldiers warned they would eliminate insurgents in the province.

“In any situation and until our last drop of blood is shed- we will defend our country; and the enemy does not have the morale to fight against security forces,” one soldier said.

Residents thanked the security forces for providing security and gave them flowers wish them a happy New Year.
