Former Afghan president Hamid Karzai on Monday backed United States president-elect Donald Trump’s stance in seeking good relations with Russia.

“In support of Donald Trump's stand for improved relations with Russia,” Karzai wrote on his twitter page.

Karzai further said that the relations would be good for peace and stability in Afghanistan and the world.

This comes soon after President Barack Obama blamed Russia for interfering in the U.S presidential elections in favor of Trump. In response, the U.S government expelled 30 Russian diplomats.
