Kunduz military court judge Asiludin was kidnapped on Saturday along with his bodyguard, officials confirmed.
 
According to Kunduz police chief General Abdul Hamid Hamid, Asiludin had been on his way back to Kunduz with his family from Takhar when the incident happened.
 
Hamid said the judge had been only 15km outside Kunduz city when his vehicle was stopped by unknown men.
 
He said Asiludin’s family and driver were allowed to leave the scene but Hamid and his bodyguard were abducted.
 
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
