Pakistan Closes Torkham Crossing ‘Due To Security Concerns’

Following a deadly blast at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sindh province of Pakistan, the Pakistani government sealed Torkham Crossing for an indefinite period, the Dawn reported on Friday.

The report indicates that according to the officials of Pakistan’s political administration, the Torkham has been sealed for all kinds of communication due to security concerns.

"The border crossing will stay closed till further notice and all kinds of trade and commercial activities will remain suspended," Dawn quoted Pakistan’s officials.

The report says that Pakistani military's spokesperson also confirmed the development through a tweet.

The attack on the shrine left at least 75 dead and 200 others wounded, reports said.
