Daesh Kidnap 14 Education Ministry Staff In Nangarhar

The Ministry of Education (MoE) on Sunday said Daesh has kidnapped fourteen teachers and MoE staff from the Kot district of Nangarhar province.

A statement released by MoE said the incident took place shortly before noon on Sunday when students were busy with exams at the Mesher Mullah Sahib Madrassa. According to the statement, a group of Daesh fighters entered the madrassa and left, taking 14 people with them.

The MoE in the statement called on security forces and tribal elders to do everything possible to secure the release of the hostages.

MoE said providing education services is non-political, non-military and neutral, and as such kidnapping education staff is not rational nor can it be justified.
