Seven Civilians Killed In Road Side Blast In Herat

At least seven people were killed Tuesday in Herat province when a civilian vehicle hit a roadside mine.

Herat police spokesman Abdul Ahad Walizada confirmed the incident and said that the explosion occurred yesterday afternoon in Adraksan district of the province.

However so far no group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility but Walizada said that the mine was planted by insurgents.

Two women and three children are among the victims and all the victims are members of one family, Walizada said.
