At least seven Taliban insurgents were killed in a foreign troops airstrike in central Logar province on Tuesday afternoon, local officials confirmed on Wednesday.

The airstrike was launched about 1pm local time on Tuesday while the Taliban insurgents had gathered in Azra district of the province, Wali Wakil, a member of the provincial council member said.

However, he did not provide further details about the airstrike.
