Special Forces Undergo Intense Training To Combat Insurgents

Afghan National Army (ANA) and Police Special Forces have recently undergone intense training programs in preparation for operations against the Taliban on the battlefields.

The special forces units have been undergoing training programs organized by foreign troops in order to hone their skills.

One U.S military officer who is part of the team training special forces said: “We are training the different branches of the Afghanistan special forces.”

Following the intense programs, special forces members said they are ready to fight insurgents but urged donor countries to help with modern weapons and new helicopters.

“We will continue training for many days here and then we will participate in operations in Kunduz and other areas,” said Zahidullah, a sergeant in the special forces.

“We want our foreign supporters to give us more helicopters. We have a lack of helicopters and the ones we have crash and are damaged,” said Sahil, an ANA officer.
