Taliban Commander Killed In Baghlan Clash

A Taliban’s local commander was killed in a clash between the fighters and security forces in Baghlan-e-Markazi district in Baghlan province, local officials said on Friday.

The gunfight occurred on Thursday night after the Taliban fighters faced an ambush by police force members in the district, Baghlan-e-Markazi Police Chief Colonel Mohebullah Kohdamani said.

Meanwhile, according to a press release by Parwan governor’s office, police force members in the central province have foiled a roadside bomb by defusing 16 kilograms of explosives which was planted by insurgents on Koh-e-Safi district’s main road to target security forces.
