Three Taliban ‘Terrorist Groups’ Dismantled In Kandahar

Three Taliban terrorist groups have been dismantled after 16 insurgents were arrested in southern Kandahar province, the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said in a statement on Sunday.

The groups were headed by Mawlawi Sayed Mohammad, Mullah Raz Mohammad and Mullah Mirza Mohammad.

According to the NDS the groups had been involved in insurgency in the province including the planting of roadside mines, terrorizing government employees, and carrying out group attacks on check posts in Arghandab, Daman and Shah Wali Kot districts of the province.

The insurgents were arrested during NDS operations in different parts of the province, according to the statement.

However, the statement did not provide more details about the operations.
