Afghanistan’s U-14 national football team beat India’s Mirzaram team 5-4 in the semi-finals of the Subroto Cup Football Tournament in India on Monday.

Both teams worked hard to secure their goals but no goals were scored throughout the match nor during extra time.

In a penalty shootout, Afghanistan scored five goals while their Indian counterparts managed only four.

Afghanistan will play India’s Chandigar team at about 4pm Kabul time on Wednesday in the finals.

Last year Afghanistan played well and went through to the semi-finals of the tournament.

The team scored 33 goals in total but lost to Bangladesh in the semi-finals.
