The Wolesi Jirga (Lower House of Parliament) on Sunday unanimously approved the budget for the 1396 fiscal year - with 139 votes in favor and two against.
 
Members of the 15 commissions of the House of Representatives finally presented their assessment results to the MPs on Monday.
 
A total of 141 MPs were present. All but two voted in favor of the budget.
 
MPs originally rejected the budget on December 21 last year and labeled it unbalanced and unprofessional.
 
At the time, some MPs stated the provincial allocation of funds had been unbalanced. The budget was then amended and according to MPs is now more balanced. 
 
December 21 had been the first day of the new fiscal year.
