As the government is pushing more for negotiations with the Taliban, the insurgents have increased their attacks fearlessly. These attacks have narrowed the circle for the government but Afghan President still follows his flexible policy towards the Taliban.

It has yet to be revealed what will the president's reaction be over the loss of his strongest supporters in the southern Afghanistan but it is clear that the Taliban will continue their attacks as long as they have support inside the presidential palace. It is still unclear who is next?
