
A Nato soldier was killed in an Improvised Explosive Device blast in southern Afghanistan on Sunday, Isaf said in a statement.
"An International Security Assistance Force service member died following an improvised explosive device attack in southern Afghanistan today," Isaf said in the statement.
Isaf did not provide the exact location of the incident and nationality of the soldier.
The death brings the number of foreign forces to 171 so far this year in the Afghan war.
More than 126 US troops, 16 British and 29 from other countries have been killed in Afghanistan.
There are around 152,000 foreign forces in Afghanistan with 100,000 of them US soldiers fighting insurgents in the country.
