The spokesman for the Independent Election Commission remarked on Saturday that IEC has received 97% of ballot counting results across AfghanistanThe spokesman for IEC, Noor Mohammad Noor, said after consideration of election complaints, soon the final results will be declared.
"We have received around 97% of result papers from 31 provinces, and the remaining three provinces will probably submit result papers today," said the spokesman for the IEC.
For more transparency, the IEC is planning to compare the votes of each polling centre with others.
"The mechanism is organised in a way that every polling centre is reviewed and compared to other centres," said the spokesman.
Meanwhile, an official in the Electoral Complaints Commission (ECC) said 3460 complaints have been registered by the IEC until late Saturday.
"How the ECC operated during the former elections is their responsibility, but our responsibility is what we have committed to consider all complaints," said the spokesman for the ECC, Ahmad Zia Rafat.
In total, 57% of complaints are placed under category A, that will affect the results of the Afghan parliamentary poll after the investigations have been completed.
