A mortar shell hit a house in eastern Logar province Wednesday night, killing four Afghan civilians and injuring four others, local officials said.
The victims were all members of the same family, 505 Police media spokesman Hamidullah Mubaraz told TOLOnews Thursday.
Three cars were also destroyed in the blast from the mortar, he added.
The source of the mortar is not known.
No group, including the Taliban, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
