Khost Shooting Kills 2 Teen Boys

News - Afghanistan

Two boys under the age of 15 were shot dead on Wednesday afternoon in eastern Khost province, local officials said Thursday.

The two boys in their early teens were shot by unknown gunmen while they were riding a motorbike in the Sabari district, according to district police chief Roshan, who goes by one name.

He said the cause of the shooting is not yet clear as the boys had no government-related jobs and no personal problems with their family or friends, Roshan told TOLOnews.

No one has claimed responsibility for the shooting.

It comes after a 16-year-old schoolgirl was shot to death in Kapisa on Sunday, apparently in a targeted attack for her work with the local polio vaccination drive.
