Local Taliban leader, Shadi Mama, was killed in a joint Afghan and Nato security forces operation in Nad Ali district of southern Helmand province on Tuesday, Isaf said.
"Shadi Mama was a Taliban leader operating in the Marjeh and Trek Nawa areas of Helmand province. He was responsible for improvised explosive device and direct fire attacks against Afghan and coalition forces," Isaf said in a statement on Wednesday.
He facilitated heavy weapons to insurgents operating throughout Nad Ali, it said.
The security force "identified Shadi Mama engaging in nefarious activity" and "conducted a precision strike, killing him," it added.
Another Taliban leader, Mojib was killed in a joint operation in Khoghyani district of eastern Nangarhar province.
According to Isaf, Mojib, also known as Mansoor, conducted direct fire attacks against the government and security forces and was directly associated with Taliban senior leadership in the area.
Meanwhile on Wednesday, a Haqqani leader has been captured in Terayazai district of eastern Khost province, Isaf said.
He is accused of conducting direct fire and IED attacks as well as kidnapping operations throughout the district, it added.
It comes as another Taliban leader was arrested Wednesday in Maiwand district of southern Kandahar province.
Isaf said he is believed to be responsible for coordinating and conducting insurgent operations throughout Shah Wali Kot district, including oversight of the acquisition of supplies and "lethal aid" to insurgents for use in attacks.
