Hockey Championship to Kick-Off in Kabul as Kickboxing Tournament Ends

The National Army Hockey Championship tournament kicked-off in Kabul on Sunday.

Out of the 80 athletes participating in the two-day tournament, 15 will be selected to play for the National Army team.

The competition is being held in the National Army's training center.

In the past week, more than 2,500 soldiers from 25 different military units have participated in 21 different sporting events.

Also on Sunday, the Kabul Military Training Center came out victorious in the National Army Kickboxing Championship. The Special Military Operations unit came in second and the Air Force took third place in the competition.

At the end of the kickboxing competition, out of the more than 80 servicemen that participated, 33 were selected for the National Army kickboxing.

The rest of the competitions will continue for another week at the training center.
