
Afghanistan's national boxing team is making preparations for the Asian Cups
Afghan teens have been extensively practising for these games in the past four months.
Three Afghan boxers, Mohammad Arif Nazari, Najibullah Haidari and Mohammad Maroof Akhtari, a coach and a coach aide will represent Afghanistan in the 16th round of Asian Cups planned to be held in China's Guangzhou city in the next ten days.
"Three sportsmen from the national team of Afghanistan will participate in the Asian Cups, and we are well-prepared for these matches," Ustad Maroof Raghbat, the coach of the Afghan national boxing team told TOLOnews reporter.
"We have been practising for these games in the past few months, and our only problem is the lack of a proper place to practise," said one of the boxers to TOLOnews.
Asian Cups is held every four years, and the 85-member Afghan teams had brought home only one bronze medal in the 15th round of the matches held in Doha, Qatar in 2006.
