More than 200 people have been killed by Syrian government forces in Homs city, reports say.

While unverified videos posted on the internet showed many dead bodies, activists accused the government forces of massacring people after a night of shelling in the city, according to the BBC.

The Syrian government has denied the allegations.

As a UN resolution is being discussed, Russia is still reportedly not happy with how it is worded.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Saturday that his country had proposed amendments to UN.

According to the UN nearly 6,000 people have been killed in Syria since anti-government protests erupted 10 months ago.
