Candidates of the Afghan Parliamentary election in Ghazni Province said that insecurity pose a huge challenge in their campaigns

The candidates have said that a shortcoming in security has forced them not to begin their parliamentary campaigns.

"We experienced in the previous presidential and parliamentary elections that no one dared to campaign due to security reasons, and there was also too much fraud in those elections," said a candidate for the Afghan parliamentary election, Abdul Qadir Wahidi.

Meanwhile, Ghazni Police Chief highlighted that in coordination with the Afghan and Polish security forces, security preparations are on the ground securing the election.

"We have made preparations to maintain security during the election, and our forces are ready for that," said the Police Chief of Ghazni, Nowroz Ali Mahmood Zada.

Residents in Ghazni, a southern Afghan province, said that they will not participate in the upcoming parliamentary election if the candidates do not campaign and do not present their future plans.

Nearly, 84 people, including 13 women have nominated themselves for the upcoming parliamentary election which is going to be held on 18 September.
