The Ghazni Police volleyball team on Wednesday won against the Polish Army Team 2/0 in the final round of Ghazni Volleyball competitions.

The competition was held to strengthen the already friendly relations between Afghan security forces and Polish Army soldiers stationed in Ghazni province.

The competition was held between the Afghan Police Team, ANA soldiers and two teams from Polish Army and it continued for one day.

The competitions were held at the Foreign military base sports ground as the Polish team and 203 ANA Thunder Corps became second and third.

"Holding such competitions strengthens the coordination between Afghan and foreign forces in their daily activities," said Allah Nazar Ziayee, Crimes Investigation Chief of Ghazni.

Meanwhile, Warner Rose, US envoy to Ghazni province stressed that he will try hard to help improve sports in Ghazni province.

"I hope we conduct more volleyball, football and basketball competitions between Afghan and American forces in Ghazni province,"
he said.

The top teams were praised by the US embassy.

Poland has approximately 2600 soldiers in Afghanistan mostly stationed in Ghazni province.
