
Afghanistan's Judo team is going to participate in the 16th Judo World Cup championships for the first time
Athletes from 150 nations are going to participate in competitions that are scheduled to start on September 9 in Japan's Tokyo city.
Three judo players, two of them females and their coach will represent Afghanistan in the Judo World Cup in Japan that will last for four days.
Friba Razayee and Atefa Hussaini, the two Afghan female athletes and Sayed Hussain Hussaini are expected to do well and win medals in these competitions.
"Although the level of these competitions is high and the participating countries are too strong, but our players have also been practising three times a day in the past two months and are fully ready for the competitions," Mohammad Zekria, head of Afghanistan Judo Federation told TOLOnews.
Sayed Hussain Hussaini, a previous Judo medal winner in the South Asian competitions, said he hopes he will win a medal in these competitions too, since he has fully practised.
The Afghan Judo team are to experience their first Judo World Cup matches in Japan.
