FARAKHABAR: US Congress Approves Conditional Funding To Pakistan

The United States Congress has approved a military aid package of $700 million USD to Pakistan for its activities carried out in support of US operations in Afghanistan, but the package needs the approval of US Defense Secretary James Mattis.

The congress said if Mattis does not certify the package, the aid will not be made available to Pakistan. 

It has been reported that of the $700 million USD, $350 million USD will be made available to Pakistan if Mattis certifies that Pakistan is doing enough to fight Haqqani and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
