Officials in Iran's Foreign Ministry have commented that Iran is already in talks with India, Pakistan and Tajikistan about the international summit, reports say.
India is optimistic about the summit, however Iran considers Pakistan a key country in resolving the Afghan crisis, while Pakistan criticises Iran for focsing on its own interest.
The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not officially commented about the Conference.
The Iranian President remarked on the fourth tripartite summit which was held among Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, that after the foreign forces leave Afghanistan, the three Afghan neigbouring countries can fill their place.
"Our destiny is intertwined in different fields, and those who bring pressure from outside or those unwelcomed guests should be out soon or later," said Iran's President.
Iran is in an effort to convene a summit on Afghanistan, as top US military officials have accused Iran of supporting Afghan insurgency.
Meanwhile, the publication of more than 90,000 classified US military files by the WikiLeaks indicates Iran's hand behind a growing insurgency in the region.
