At least 10 Daesh militants were killed during the Afghan forces’ ongoing military operation in Nangarhar province, military officials said on Wednesday.
Sherin Aqa Faqir, a spokesman for 201 Selab Military Corps, said in a statement that 13 Daesh fighters were wounded during the operation.
The military operation was launched on Tuesday in Khoghyani district in the province where nine villages have been cleared of militants so far, he said.
“The forces have also defused ten land mines during the operation,” Faqir said.
The statement has not provided further details about the operation.
