65 Daesh Militants Killed, Says Official

Officials in eastern parts of the country claimed on Tuesday that at least 65 Daesh militants were killed in Afghan forces operations.

Nangarhar governor's spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, confirmed the casualties and said the operations were conducted from the air and ground in Gorgore and Wangora areas of Haska Mena district.

Eighteen other Daesh militants were wounded in the operations, Khogyani added.

He said one civilian was killed and thirteen others, including women and children, were wounded during the operations.

Khogyani said that Daesh militants use civilian’s houses as their strongholds and that is the reason why civilians suffer casualties.
