BAZAR: Economic Growth and Road Projects Discussed

In this episode of Bazar, Nargis Mosavi discusses the World Bank’s statement regarding Afghanistan’s projected economic growth for the year, the ministry of rural rehabilitation and development’s road projects and the ministry of agriculture’s plans for an alternate to poppy cultivation. 

The discussion around the poppy cultivation issue also looks at what alternates can be established for farmers who need to switch to legal and commercial orientated farming practices.

The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) signed contracts for six road projects worth more than 600 million Afghanis with the private sector.
