Office of the Attorney General of Afghanistan (AGO) on Tuesday said that at least three generals and four other high ranking officials of the ministry of defense have been arrested over corruption.

The AGO said a former chief of deployment at the defense ministry was among those arrested.

The cases of the suspects have been sent to court, the AGO said in a statement.
