Officials from Kabul Police and Ministry of Interior said a suicide bomber exploded his explosives when security forces gathered in the area to control the demonstration launched by shopkeepers. 
 
“The suicide attacker came from the side where the protestors were standing and then targeted police force members,” acting Police Chief Mohammad Salim Ehsas said at a press conference on Friday
 
While the Ministry of Interior gave different figures on casualties of the attack. sources said at least 20 people were killed in the attack.
