A member of the Meshrano Jirga (Upper House of Parliament) has outlined a new plan based on which senate members - without resigning from their current positions - can nominate themselves for next year’s parliamentary elections. The plan was approved by the senate members.

Meanwhile, Ainuddin Bahaduri, a lawyer, said this plan was in violation of the law and only reflects personal demands of the MPs.
