MEHWAR: Afghan Necklace Displayed At U.S. Exhibition

A rare necklace designed by a disabled Afghan girl has been displayed at an exhibition in the United States.

Saeeda Etebari received training in jewelry design at Feroz Koh Institute in Kabul.

She made the necklace from gold and emeralds. 

Etebari is deaf and mute but this has not stopped her from following her dreams. 

Her trainer says that Etebari took two months to make the necklace which is worth $8,000 USD.
