PURSO PAL: Rights Activist Maryam Durani Discusses Achievements

Famous civil society and women’s rights activist in Kandahar, Maryam Durani was born in Iran and returned home with her family after the establishment of the interim government in Afghanistan in 2002.

In the first years of her return, Durani started working for Kandahar women. In 2012, her name was among the top 10 leading women in the world.

She has received an honorary award from the US Department of State.
