National Team Off To Bangladesh For South Asian Golf Event

The National Golf Team on Saturday left Kabul for Bangladesh to attend the South Asian tournament. 

More than 100 athletes from seven countries will participate in the 33rd Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championships.

Bangladesh will host the event. 

The Afghan squad is comprised of three golf players and two coaches.

The event will kick off next year in January 3.

The directorate of physical education and sport said in a statement that the national team members are fully prepared for the competition.

This year in January, the Afghan national golf team returned home with one gold and one bronze medal from the 32nd Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championships. 

Apart from host Bangladesh, golfers from Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia will compete in the four-day event.
