Olympics Committee Commends Boxing Medal Winners

The National Olympic Committee on Tuesday honored boxers who brought home medals from a tournament in Tajikistan earlier this month.

The boxers won one silver and two bronze medals in a regional tournament in Khujand City, in the north of Tajikistan.

Khaibar Nuristani who won a silver medal in the competition said he continues to bring more honor to the country.

“We will continue these courses in order to train more coaches and meanwhile send more athletes to international events. We want to bring more medals to the country,” he said at an event.

Six countries attended the tournament in Tajikistan and four boxers from Afghanistan took part.
