Yasin Qaderi from Kabul won the Mr Afghanistan title for the second time. The first time he won the title was in 2008.
The bodybuilding competition will select Mr Afghanistan and best athletes to represent the country at international events.
The tournament was launched in the hope of developing the sporting code in the country, said an AFF official.
At least 125 karate fighters will be selected at the end of the competition which will continue for three days.
Team members said they faced stiff opposition at the tournament, which was the first time they had participated in the championships.
Afghanistan Cricket Board said the Afghan team is well prepared to play against India in the series.
ACB officials said they are committed to improving cricket and that the U19s win was a huge achievement.
The U19 national cricket team had six back-to-back wins in the World Cup Qualifiers in Singapore. The team will return home on Wednesday.
