Thousands of football fans from around the country packed the Afghan Football Federation Stadium on Thursday in Kabul for the opening ceremony of this year’s Afghan Premier League tournament. 

The foreign ministers of Afghanistan and Pakistan will meet on the sidelines of the United Nations meeting in New York within the next two weeks, the Afghan Foreign Ministry confirmed on Thursday.
