EU ambassador to Afghanistan Franz-Michael Mellbin on Thursday said allegations related to violations of human rights and misuse of authority by first vice president general Abdul Rashid Dostum must be investigated transparently and fairly and that legal and judicial processes upheld.  

The six teenage girls from Afghanistan’s robotics team arrived in Kabul on Thursday afternoon to collect their visas for the U.S and said they were very grateful to everyone who had worked to get the original decision overturned.
